Usage Instructions
Pipe Preparation – Cut the pipe to the required length and remove any burrs. Roughen and clean the outer surface of the pipe and the inner surface of the socket.
Dry Fit Test – Ensure that the pipe and fitting fit snugly. The pipe should easily reach the end of the fitting. If necessary, use PlastoChem Primer for optimal results.
Application – Apply the first coat of PlastoChem uPVC/CPVC solvent cement evenly on the outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket using a suitable applicator. Apply a second coat on the pipe, covering the socket depth.
Assembly – Insert the pipe into the socket while twisting it 45°-90° for even cement distribution. Hold firmly for 30 seconds.
Finishing – Wipe off any excess cement and let the joint remain undisturbed for one hour for optimal bonding.
Curing Time – Allow 5 minutes for initial handling strength. For pressures up to 160 PSI, let it set for 30 minutes. Larger pipes (2” and above), lower temperatures (below 15°C), and higher pressures require longer curing times.

Storage & Shelf Life
Shelf Life: 2 years from the date of manufacture (Storage Temperature: 2°C - 40°C).
Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place in original, tightly sealed containers at a temperature between 2°C and 40°C. Partially emptied containers should be closed immediately.
